   Lively and interactive talks for large groups hosted by Rosie in full period costume, including a small display board, some replica objects to handle, and a short demonstration. Additional information sheets may be purchased (see Resources list).

Wynflaed's Life (10th Century)
based on Wynflaed from her will, her estate at Faccombe Netherton and the archaeology associated with it.
Anglo-Saxon Medicine
from amulets to charms and penitentials.
Talking Heads
head-dress and hairstyles for men and women from the 14th and 15th century are discussed in detail (volunteers welcome to try things on).

A Historic Medical Practitioner Series (Medicine Through Time)
a selection of medical practitioners are discussed: John of Arderne (1307-1392) - the father of English surgery, Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179) - German Benedictine abbess, writer, composer, philosopher, Christian mystic, visionary, and polymath; Bald (9th century) - compiler of 3 Leechbooks; John Bradmore (d. 1412) - famously treated the future Henry V; Gilbertus Anglicus (c.1180-c.1250) - English physician
4 Roman Pots

Craft Demonstrations
   Hosted by Rosie in full period costume, these detailed demonstrations are designed for larger groups, with minimal interaction. Also includes a small display board and some replica objects to handle. Additional information sheets may be purchased (see Resources list).

Medieval Flax
From growing the plants, to preparing the fibre, spinning and weaving - using medieval tools.

Tasting History
6 foods/drinks are provided to sample covering the Anglo-Saxons, through Vikings, Normans and Medieval period.
Historic Pastimes
A session of historic games and pastimes, from hood throwing and whipping tops to dice and board games.
