Personal Hygiene

In this fascinating workshop, we look at people's personal hygiene - or lack of it! Did people really bother to keep clean back then?

This session is more of a talk with a few pictures to look at and things to hand around. We look at
Viking beard combs and hair dye, and find out about Anglo-Saxon medicinal baths.

Finally we investigate toilets - how they were built and used - not only what went in, but what it contained and what that tells about the people.
